By: Diana Quintero Acosta, Communications & Marketing - Colegio San JoséWe are also the soccer champions of the Big Games 2025, the sports tournament of the British International School, held from March 11 to 15.Our soccer team, led by our coach, Mr. Álvaro Zambrano Manjarrez, lifted the championship trophy in the 2006-2008 category at the Romelio Martínez Stadium.As a school, we support our students in making the most of their free time through activities like these, which contribute to their holistic education and are backed by the President's Office, the Student Affairs and Wellbeing Office, and the Sports Coordination.BIS, thank you for this opportunity!------También somos los campeones de fútbol de los Big Games 2025, los juegos deportivos del British International School, que se realizaron del 11 al 15 de marzo.Nuestra selección de fútbol, orientada por nuestro entrenador Mr. Álvaro Zambrano Manjarrez, alzó el trofeo de la categoría 2006-2008, en el estadio Romelio Martínez.Como colegio acompañamos a nuestros estudiantes en el aprovechamiento del tiempo libre con este tipo de actividades que contribuyen a su formación integral, y que son apoyadas por Rectoría, Bienestar Estudiantil, así como por la Coordinación de Deportes.BIS, ¡Gracias por la oportunidad! Champions in swimming: Big Games 2025

Coffee Break: Women & Men’s Day

Por: Diana Quintero Acosta, Comunicadora y Promotora Institucional - Colegio San José ¡Nos unimos a la tendencia! Ahora las celebraciones son con café y por la mañana. Por eso con un coffee break, nuestros colaboradores conmemoraron el Día de la Mujer y el Día del Hombre, el pasado lunes 10 de marzo. Para la ocasión, la oficina de Gestión Humana, desde Bienestar Laboral, organizó una estación de bebidas calientes en el Auditorio Mateo Ricci, en donde cada integrante del staff recibió como obsequio un mug institucional personalizado con su nombre y una galleta punto rojo, dulce típico barranquillero. Fue un momento, también para compartir e integrarse como compañeros de trabajo; así como para reforzar el valor de este mes: sentido de pertenencia. ----- We joined the trend! Now the celebrations are with coffee and in the morning. That’s why, with a coffee break, our collaborators commemorated International Women's Day and International Men's Day this past Monday, March 10th. For the occasion, the Human Resources office, through Labor Wellbeing, organized a hot beverage station at the Mateo Ricci Auditorium, where each staff member received a personalized institutional mug with their name and a "punto rojo" cookie, a typical sweet from Barranquilla. Together, we embarked on this year-and-a-half, laying the groundwork for thoughtful conversations, collaboration, and growth.   For us, this journey is more than just accreditation -it's a valuable opportunity to discern, reflect and contemplate who we are as a learning community on the Caribbean Region of Colombia and how we can continue to foster high-quality learning experiences for every student.   We express our sincere gratitude to our Accreditation Team, Ms. Luisa Álvarez Sanes and Mr. Edgar Barrios, for their enthusiasm, commiment, and energy. As school, we embark on this transformative journey together. --------------------------------------------------- Hoy, como Colegio San José de la Compañía de Jesús lanzamos oficialmente nuestro Proceso de Reflexión Interna de New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), reuniendo a más de 125 educadores apasionados, psicólogos, personal de apoyo escolar y administrativos.
