Every year on October 12, we celebrate the discovery of America and Ethnic Day. Last Thursday, students from kindergarten commemorated these two important celebrations in a school assembly. First, we went back in history and, with a dramatic performance, remembered how Christopher Columbus discovered our Continent. Then, we traveled through the different continents in the world and showed the varieties of cultures we can find. Most importantly, the students learnt that among all the differences we have with each other at the end of the day – We are just ONE!
