Thanksgiving Assembly

IMG_1116

Yesterday the students from Transition C and D celebrated Thanksgiving Day by putting on a show for their parents and the rest of Preschool. Every year, the Americans celebrate Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of November to give thanks to the Almighty God for all the blessings and compassion he gives us.

Each group of students sang a couple of songs about the very special day, and later they performed the First Thanksgiving Story where they showed the excited audience how the Pilgrims arrived to Plymouth Rock on the Mayflower ship. Then, the boys and girls explained how the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims to fish, plant corn and hunt. At the end, the students gathered to eat and give thanks with a prayer by a student from Transition D.
