As part of our Community Project, K4BCD children participated in a closure activity, where they play the role of police officers, who were controlling and directing the traffic in our parking lot. The parents were given “good citizen” stickers or “traffic violation tickets” depending on their driving behavior. This activity was not only educational for the parents, but also gave the students the chance to be “community helpers” and in this way reinforce the concept of the important role community helpers play.
