Student Counseling Service
The Student Counseling Service, better known as SAE for its Spanish acronyms (Servicio de Asesoría Escolar), is an interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to supporting students throughout their academic journey.
Our primary goal is to provide personalized support to students and their families, addressing cognitive, social, emotional, communicative, behavioral, and sensory needs. Our focus is on fostering the holistic development of each student.
We have a Learning Center that serves as a formal program that integrates Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology. These disciplines work to develop sensory, communicative, motor, perceptual, and metacognitive skills, which support maturation, development, and learning processes.
The Student Counseling Service is involved in:
- Support: Through prevention, promotion, and early identification of needs.
- Counseling: For students and parents.
- Referrals: To external professionals when necessary.
- Classroom observations: To identify areas for improvement.
- Teacher guidance: Providing strategies to support students.
